Access Control
Access control systems are there to let you have control over who has access to what in your building, without the need to carefully manage who has what key.
Locks and keys have traditionally been used, but managing these is a costly and time-consuming way to secure your building, even more so as keys are lost or stolen and the locks have to be changed. The sad fact is that keys can be copied, leaving a loophole in your security that is impossible to close.
Every businesses, no matter what size, will have assets that it needs to protect. Aside from assets (be they equipment, stock, or confidential data) there is security of staff and their property to be considered. Where your physical security is managed using keys, it is quite common for doors to simply be left unlocked throughout the day and only locked at night - simply as people are too busy to stop to unlock and then relock a door everytime the go through it. Unfortunately, theives and vandals thrive in such environments.
An electronic access control system removes these obstacles. Replacing the old fashioned key and lock solution, access control systems are more efficient, more convenient and more flexible way to ensure the security of your buildings, staff and assets. Electronic locks are all controlled from a computer system, allowing instant changes to security permissions so you never have to change a lock or worry that a key has been copied. Tokens (cards, key fobs, wristbands, even watches) are issued to staff, giving them allow access through doors, and the token can be instantly blocked if it is lost, stolen, or not returned when they leave your company.
