Fire Alarms
According to recently acquired fire statistics, two thirds of all fire fatalities are from accidental fires within the home. This staggering fact backs up the simple fact that a basic fire alarm can save lives.
 |
|
As a well established and leading provider of home fire and security systems in the South East, we wanted to help reduce this alarming statistic for accidental fire risk. It is becoming common knowledge that you may have as little as 1 to 2 minutes to escape from a fire risk situation, therefore it is imperative that you have a sensible and well rehearsed escape plan which includes all members of the family that old enough to understand. |
Here are some basics things to remember that can be easily forgotten:
- Do not overload electrical circuits with expansion plugs. This is one of the foremost causes of fires.
- Keep matches, lighters and flammables out of reach of children at all times.
- Never smoke in bed.
- Keep combustibles far from heat sources and open flames.
- Use a fire detection and/or smoke warning system in your home.
Here at AM Fire and Security we include sensors as part of our burglar alarm we call this our Lifesafety system, in the event of an emergency you can escape as quickly as possible, safe in the knowledge that the emergency services are on there way.
